Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions extend congratulations to first elected board of RDAR

The Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions today extended congratulations to the newly-elected board of directors of Results Driven Agriculture Research (RDAR). The election results were announced this morning during the first annual members’ meeting of RDAR.

The commissions would like to express their appreciation to all candidates who let their names stand for election and to the interim board of directors that was established in April 2020 to create a farmer-led, not-for-profit organization to determine the future direction of research funding in Alberta.

Recently, Dr. Lauren Comin, Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions’ director of research, was elected co-chair of the RDAR advisory committee.

A $2 million grant under the Canadian Agriculture Partnership (CAP), administered by Alberta Barley provided start-up funding for RDAR.
