FarmCash opens fall advance applications to western Canadian producers

Starting today, FarmCash is accepting applications for post-harvest, fall livestock and actual honey production advances. As this date marks the official opening date of the fall application period for the Advance Payments Program, producers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba of over 50 agriculture commodities can apply using FarmCash’s free, simple online application and receive access to funds in as little as three to five business days.

Following a challenging growing season for producers, choosing the right cash flow tool that can support them and reduce their financial pressure has become more important than ever before. With FarmCash, producers can apply for up to $1 million and receive the first $100,000 interest free and the remainder at an ultra-low interest rate of TD Prime minus 0.75 per cent.

“We are hearing from producers that the enhancements to the FarmCash program over the last several years couldn’t have come at a better time,” says Todd Hames, Alberta Wheat Commission chair. “Producers need access to tools like FarmCash to mitigate the inevitable risks of farming. FarmCash's dedication to providing cost savings to producers across Western Canada, along with providing streamlined applications and processing, are features that are really appreciated and needed.”

Now in its fourth year available to Alberta producers and its first fall application offering for producers in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, the FarmCash slogan “Cash flow to help you grow” is resonating with western Canadian producers as the program experiences high demand.

“Farming is all about long term investment, cash flow management throughout the cycles of the production year, and ensuring you have safety nets to navigate the risks connected to the nature of the business,” says Syeda Khurram, chief operating officer of FarmCash. “We are pleased to support the profitability of western Canadian agriculture producers through FarmCash, which allows them to grow their businesses through the good and bad years.”
