New Resistant Wild Oat Action Committee video

Resistant wild oat is a growing concern in Western Canada and Alberta. As such, growers and agronomists are advised to increase the diligence of monitoring for wild oat resistance and to increase their knowledge of management tactics. Doing so can help farmers in Alberta manage resistance issues before they become overwhelming. The Resistant Wild Oat Action Committee (RWOAC) is driving the push to increase awareness.

The RWOAC has developed a library of infographics for farmers and agronomists to strengthen their knowledge of wild oats. With partial funding support from the Alberta Wheat Commission, RWOAC developed an informational video to demonstrate management practices farmers across the Prairies are currently implementing to combat resistant wild oat.

The video, found here, is another step the RWOAC has taken to increase awareness and management knowledge of resistant wild oats.
